This engagement session was a blast to shoot! With perfect weather and the autumn colors at their peak, it couldn’t get any better. We started off in the middle of downtown Bristol and ended up out in the country. The country portion of the session almost didn’t happen. Weeks earlier, I had made plans and had permission to do the session on a gorgeous farm down by the river with rolling fields of tall grass with a few scattered barns and a picket fence. But 3 days before the session was to happen, the owner of the property backed out and because everyone had already mowed for the season, there were no grassy fields left! Except one, which happened to be on the same road. When I went to ask the owner of the property if I could shoot there, she said yes, but she was sorry that they hadn’t been able to mow because the tractor was being repaired. I told her that it was better for me that they hadn’t! How lucky was that? Anyway, I think the field location was even better and I couldn’t be happier with the results. N.M.
